There’s a good reason why diet and weight loss are such huge industries. In spite of this, though, weight problems are as big a problem as ever. Why?

A lot of it has to do with the way our world is built. It’s just not geared toward maintaining an ideal weight. Women are expected to do it all now – run a household, take care of the kids, manage a career, and keep our relationships together. This is more than we’ve ever had to do, and something has to give. For a lot of us, it’s our health.

As women, our bodies go through so many changes throughout our lives too. Hormones, pregnancy, lifestyle and environmental changes, menopause, and the simple reality of living can all be major life changing events that affect our bodies.

In my practice, I coach holistically and address all of the aspects of health, wellbeing and weight loss. One of these underlying causes is how we respond to stress. It’s no surprise we are facing more stress than ever before. Stress can have a profound effect on your body. In fact, chronic stress has been linked with a number of different health conditions, including chronic pain, headaches, high blood pressure, stomach issues, and even heart disease. 

On the other hand, physical illness can lead to mental and emotional issues as well. Dealing with a chronic condition can lead to depression, anxiety, and stress. This can create a vicious cycle where your physical health drags down your mental health, which drags down your physical health, and so on. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

  • How will you feel when your body is like that?
  • Why don’t you currently have it? (Hint: be honest!)
  • What’s bigger – your desire to have your dream body, or your belief that you can achieve it?

These questions can help you open yourself to the prospect of working with a wellness life coach, taking inspired action toward your dreams.
